of  the GEORGE CALEB BINGHAM CATALOGUE RAISONNE

Incorporating the addition of Fred R. Kline's George Caleb Bingham Catalogue Raisonne Supplement (2005-2017)

and incorporating the foundationial work of E. Maurice Bloch’s pioneering Bingham Catalogues Raisonnés of Paintings and Drawings (1967-1986)

New  works &  research will be published and exhibited Online at www.GeorgeCalebBingham.org

The future book publication of the Bingham Catalogue Raisonne is under the direction of The Riverbank Foundation

The Riverbank Foundation's Bingham Catalogue Raisonne project (incorporating the earlier GCBCRS) was originally reorganized in 2005 by Bingham specialist and independent art historian, Fred R. Kline, with an Advisory Board assisting the authentication process.

The GCBCR was the first online and freely accessible Catalogue Raisonne project dedicated to a major American or European artist.

Dr. Paul Nagel (1926-2011), American historian and Bingham biographer, was the founding advisor in 2005.

Since that time, as of May 2017, twenty-eight (28) newly located paintings by Bingham have been identified and authenticated and placed in the GCBCR.

The accepted paintings are reviewed several times a year.  The authenticity review of the paintings by the Advisory Board has been consistently upheld.  However, if credible evidence develops for reconsideration of a painting in the Bingham CR, then that painting will remain listed in the CR in a separate category.
